Adriaan & Caryn

Another busy day in Gauteng and it went something like this: 5:30am wake up and head out to teach a client some photography skills; 9am off to photograph a family at Emmerentia; 11am off to wedding near Hammanskraal outside Pretoria; 12:30am arrive back home and wind down; 1:15am into bed to wake up at 5:45am to catch a flight back home (all in a days work as they say).  Wow what a hot day which was a blessing as it had apparently been raining all week in Pretoria so Adriaan & Caryn were saying lots of prays on Friday night.  The venue, http://www.intundla.co.za/ , is the most beautiful venue especially after traveling on the old, dirt road on the way there with not much in the way of beautiful scenery and then you arrive at the lake and it takes your breath away.  Everything went according to plan and we even had to just chill out after the service as it was just too bright and hot to go attempt the photoshoot.  Caryn had bought some Gumboots after seeing all the rain during the week and they definitely came in handy when I took them into the deep, dark bushveld terrain.  It was an extremely difficult photoshoot as the sun was just too bright and you could not look anywhere near it without squinting so it made my life difficult and left me blinded most of the time.  The late afternoon setting sun over the lake was exquisite and it just turned into the most perfect evening. I always have to mention it so here goes, the food was delicious!  The party did not stop with most of the guests enjoying the dance floor and it was a pity that I had to leave.  I definitely could have woken up to that view first thing in the morning.  Adriaan and Caryn seemed thrilled with the way the day turned out and I wish them well for the future.

Adriaan in the chapel before all the guests arrived.

This is always a fun part to photograph as the couple is always releaved to have the service over with and can start to relax a little.

Those drinks did not last long in that heat and were a resl life saver. That nougat was delicious and a very cool idea for a wedding cake.

I love this photo as it shows off the landscape and how much open space there is in Africa.

There I was lying in the trenches taking grenades for my fellow comrades. That reminds me I had better check for ticks after lying in the grass. Never a dull moment in Africa.

Popping the bubbly in the middle of the bush!

Love the white Gumboots!

Girls in Gumboots with attitude- sounds like a movie script.

The guests chilling out after the service enjoying the surroundings.

A car had just passed hence the dust in the distance- all part of the picture.

Absolutely beautiful. Wow!
