On Wednesday evening a concert commemorating the 150th anniversary of the arrival of Indians in South africa was held at Durban City Hall. U. Shrinivas, a world renowned electric mandolin player, was in concert with the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra in a collaboration which presented the confluence of Carnatic and Western Classical Music. All work was orchestrated by Naum Rousine, the resident conductor of the KZN Philharmonic. As always, shooting in the City Hall was a challenge. The light is not great and any noise or flash is an absolute no-no. Thank heavens for fast lenses and high ISO.
