Tin Bucket Drum is currently at the Playhouse Loft Theatre and well worth a visit. Written by Neil Coppen, this award winning production weaves together elements of magic realism, shadow puppetry, Afro-Kabuki and live percussion. The story of Nomvula is played alternately by Mpumi Mthombeni and Thuli Zuma, both of whom were great. The show runs tonight and tomorrow at the Playhouse before heading off to New York shortly.
