The New Age Friendship Celebration Concert was held at Moses Mabhida Stadium after the cricket on Sunday to commemorate the 150 year anniversary of the arrival of Indians in South Africa. It included Bollywood heavyweights Shahrukh Khan, Anil Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra as the headline performers with a number of South African artists also featured, including Locnville, HHP, Liquideep, Drum Cafe and 1st Project.
The likes of SRK were a huge hit with the predominantly Indian crowd and the show ended with a spectacular fireworks display which I’m sure woke most of Durban.
