People are starting to book their Groupon Shoots as they realise the expiry date is looming. Saturday was particularly hectic with five back to back shoots in studio and two families popping in to pick their disks up from earlier shoots. A rather daunting day for me as the photographer – a fairly stark studio and a wide range of families to keep entertained and looking good. Believe me when I say I was drained by the end of the day. We started off with Lisa and Wayne Bell and their gorgeous little Abigail. All went well until Abigail decided she’d had enough!! Then I had a little breather due to the late arrival of Yash who had apparently lost her way en route to the studio. Yash was looking for a fun shoot by herself but time was limited so we flew through her wardrobe and she relaxed into it pretty quickly. Fun was had! No sooner had Yash left when Julie arrived with her family. Ahhh, bigger kids…. this will be a breeze (big smiles from me). Dines, Julie, Keegan and the beautiful Brooklyn were all stars and made my job so easy. The Galtrey’s were followed by Rose and her family, including partners, fiance’s and kids (well young adults I suppose). We had a lot of laughs, especially when Derek complained about having to lie on the floor. It’s not the lying that worried him – it was the prospect of getting up again. While still busy with this shoot, two families arrived from last week’s shoot. Now at this stage we had around 20 people in our studio because the next shoot had also arrived a little early – potential for chaos but it was handled OK (I hope). Trinkle and her mates and kids just needed their disk. The arrival of Paula, her 13-year old daughter and 3 friends really got the ball rolling in terms of testing my creativity. You see it was Megan’s birthday present to have a shoot with her friends – have you ever tried to entertain a herd of teenagers in a studio?? Just kidding, they were great. But, wow, what a day!! Hopefully everybody involved gets the images they were hoping for and had fun along the way. Thanks to all for a great Saturday!!
